Stephen Gaiski (Zestar Corporation) does a fantastic job explaining in detail why paint failure has plagued the automobile industry since the late 1980’s. Explained in easy to understand language, the book reveals why paint failure occurred in the 80’s but more importantly, why it is STILL occurring NOW despite the awareness within the industry. Manufacturers and their contracted suppliers are aware of their failures, so why shouldn’t you be? This book provides comprehensive information including; reference guides, technical and research data -both from the industry and private sector. If you are in the auto industry (either selling new /used cars or refinishing autos) this book is crucial reading for you! If you’re a consumer that owns a vehicle that has paint issues, you will be surprised how you probably received a vehicle with a factory paint defect. After reading this book, you will be shocked about how many vehicles are affected and by which manufacturers. Factory paint defects are a major widespread problem affecting millions of vehicles worldwide, but it’s also a well kept secret. If you decide to pursue legal action against Ford and it’s suppliers, this book provides more than enough valuable and necessary information for you to do so. This book was a godsend in allowing us to win our case against Ford Motor Company. Steve is an automotive paint expert with over 20 years experience and helped us understand why the paint was failing in multiple locations on our 2006 Expedition. After getting nowhere with Ford, and feeling like we were going to be left with the $5500 repairs, we found Steve and Zestar on the Ford/Mercury Peeling Paint Complaints Facebook page (started by another disgruntled consumer Len Rapoport).
